vacations: tell me about yours

MY TRIP
It's not often that I get to go on vacation, but recently I had a good one. Me and a friend flew out to the Southwest and hit all the national parks in that area--Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and Lake Powell. Mainly we just did long hikes. It felt really good to just walk under the beating sun with only the peace of nature around us. After a week, I had finally managed to slow myself down, which is a hard thing to do. The worst part is getting home and getting hurled back into the speed of Western society. Oh well, that's what makes vacations so nice, a little time out of mind.
