first, a little update i guess of what the heck i've been up to. no shows for January so i've been spending my time doing other things. mainly writing and recording demos for new songs. had the pleasure of working with a bunch of different artists, producers, songwriters that i really admire and respect. got to travel a bit. had a lot of fun. and more importantly came away with some decent tunes. out of the whole experience there's about 10 new songs floating around. for what you ask? a new album? i have no idea. i try to write as much as i can when not touring b/c it's very difficult to do so while on the road. so this time it seemed like a good idea to take it to another level, work with some other people and stock up on material instead on getting swallowed up by the blizzard. so i'll let you know what happens with those songs. if anything.

SHOWS

as for shows...we'll be back on the road for a brief run of northeastern shows in February and then hopefully be back to doing more extensive touring in March. for anyone on the west coast, i don't blame you if you hate me. but it's not my fault we haven't gotten back out there. the right touring opportunity just hasn't presented itself yet. since we don't make money touring, only spend it at this point, it has to be a tour that makes sense for us to get out there. but rest assured we are dying to see you all again and i thank you for your patience and hope that you'll be waiting when we finally arrive.

NEW WEBSITE

what i also wanted to notify you guys about is that this website is undergoing yet another redesign and relaunch. sometime in the next few weeks the website will be on sony's servers. without getting into the legal mumbo-jumbo, just trust me that i'm required to make this happen. it's not what i wanted. i tried but unfortunately failed to keep the site independent. my apologies to anyone who might get pissed by this. but that's the way it is. the upsides are that the site will be a lot faster and will have a lot more cool features. one cool thing will be an additional section on the DIARY page where i'll leave phone messages in addition to written messages that you guys can stream on your computer and listen to. we tried to keep the design and navigation of the new site as much like this one as possible. despite all the limitations that sony has both legally and design-wise, i think we did a pretty good job.

STREET TEAM

oh, the Street Team is now being run by Precocious PR, a grass-roots promotional company created by Danielle and Paige. It's got it's own messageboard now where street-teamers can talk and share ideas and promo materials. she's already coming up with cool contests and prizes. so anyone on the street team should check that out.
