so this is the new year
Dec 31 04so i guess now is the time of year for new year's resolutions. how appropriate. well, i don't have one this year. i just feel like there is a bigger thing going on. so at the risk of sounding incredibly corny i'm going to attempt to do something our president was late in doing. i'm going to try and think about something other than myself and my country and my world. i realize that i am just a musician and a relatively obscure, unknown one at that but for what it's worth i wish to extend my thoughts and condolences to those countries and people affected by the earthquake/tsunami tragedy. it's a really horrible event that seems to get worse each time you turn on the news and it's completely apolitical. it's human. and i feel horrible. i feel incredibly guilty going on with my small life without at least thinking about what's going on. and tonight i will drown everything in drink. so here's my toast.
